REMINDER: "Miss Hawaiian Tropic Canada" Celebrates its 25-Year Anniversary!

You are cordially invited to the Canadian grand finale of the "Miss Hawaiian Tropic Canada 2009" contest

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Aug. 7, 2009) - Hawaiian Tropic, world-renowned manufacturer of sun care products, is happy to invite you to the 25th edition of its prestigious "Miss Hawaiian Tropic Canada" fashion and beauty contest. The finale will take place at 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 9 at the Pointe-Calumet Beach Club.

135 of the most beautiful women from across Canada will be competing for one of the four "Miss Hawaiian Tropic Canada 2009" titles, and one of the lucky winners will be representing Canada at the international finale, which is to take place in 2010.

In Canada, approximately 8,000 young ladies apply to this prestigous pageant every year, for a total of 250,000 worldwide. This is why the "Miss Hawaiian Tropic" pageant is ranked second in terms of popularity, right after the "Miss Univers" contest, and this, even if its philosophy is closer to that of an immersive experience centered around fashion, beauty and pleasure than to that of a competition in the strictest sense of the term.

The popularity of the "Miss Hawaiian Tropic" contest continues to grow with each passing year. More and more young women use this type of contest as a stepping stone to a career in the fields of fashion and cinema, or simply to gain visibily in the world of arts writ large.

In Quebec, on the occasion of our Canadian finale, numerous journalistic, sports and arts personalities will be present. Amongst the latter, are noteworthy: Eric Nolin, who will be hosting the event, Julie St-Pierre, Remi Pierre Paquin, Marius Brisson, Luc Vincet (Airoldi's hairdresser), Krazinoise, Marc Boilard, French singer N'gell, the band Third Place, Valerie Roberts from Musique Plus, Maxime Charbonneau from Rythme FM, Olivier Beaulieu and Jean-Philippe Audet from Star Academie 2009 as well as a multitude of others.

Videos of the finale as well as presentation capsules for the 135 finalists will be available exclusively on Canoe.tv come September. You will thus be able to watch (or re-watch) the best moments of the Canadian finale. To get a foretaste of the magnitude of this event, you can watch last year's finale at the following address: www.canoe.ca/misshawaiintropic.

We invite you to attend the Canadian finale of the "Miss Hawaiian Tropic Canada 2009" contest in large numbers.

This occasion is not to be missed!
