REXEL : PASCALE GIET APPOINTED SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT COMMUNICATIONS AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

PARIS--(Marketwire - August 23, 2010) - Rexel announces the appointment of Pascale Giet as Senior Vice President, Communications and Sustainable Development, succeeding Laetitia Olivier. She will join Rexel's Executive Committee and will report directly to Jean-Charles Pauze, the CEO of Rexel. Her appointment is effective August 23, 2010.

With a 20-year career in advertising and corporate communications, Pascale Giet will bring to Rexel her solid experience in communications, brand development and corporate and social responsibility.

Biography

Pascale Giet started her career in an advertising agency within the Groupe Expand, before managing the communications of ComDev, a subsidiary of Caisse des Dépôts in charge of developing thematic cable channels in 1990. She then joined Vivendi Universal in 1994 where she was in charge of launching TAM TAM, the first mainstream pager, as Communications Director of TDR. In 1997, Pascale Giet was appointed Advertising Director at Cegetel and managed the launch of the brand during the opening of the French telecom market before becoming Communications Director at e-TF1 in 1999 and 9 Telecom in 2001.

In September 2004, she joined Europ Assistance as Vice President of Worldwide Communications and Member of the Group's Executive Committee. In November 2006, she was appointed Vice President for Corporate Social Responsibility while retaining her previous position until 2010.

Pascale Giet, 47, is a graduate of INSEAD and holds a Masters Degree in Political and Social Communications. She was also a lecturer in the Communications Department of the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Paris from 2007 to 2009.
