Radar Entertainment Announces Aggressive New Programming Slate

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - November 6, 2007) - Less than two months after the successful launch of "Jury Duty," distributor Radar Entertainment has unveiled an unprecedented list of 11 original first-run projects in development for fall 2008, for all dayparts (weekday and weekend) and sold on a barter basis. They include...

Talk with an emphasis on good old-fashioned fun and banter.
Issue-oriented talk to enlighten and educate; touch and inspire.
Court with real cases, husband and wife judges, and celebrity
 expert witnesses.
Edgy variety with a current-day twist.

Talent lined up under the Radar Entertainment umbrella includes comedians Paula Poundstone, Mark DeCarlo and Godfrey; actress Catherine Oxenberg and her daughter India; motivational speaker Johnny Wimbrey; detective and author Bo Deitl; TV personality Stacy Kaiser; legal analyst Rikki Kleimen; and judges Mark Evans, Elizabeth Coker, Edwin Torres and, of course, Bruce Cutler. There are five themed programming blocks, including...

Happy Hour

Forget your troubles and come on and get happy with... "A Pound of Paula," hosted by comedian Paula Poundstone; and "Forever Hold Your Peace," with former "The X Show" and "Studs" host Mark DeCarlo. Paula and her celebrity guests express their individual outlooks on everyday life, while the anything but shy Mark DeCarlo offers his distinct (a.k.a. unusual) advice on how to make, or break relationships.

The Awareness Hour

Overcome adversity and find your positive place in life with "Motivate & Enlighten with Johnny Wimbrey," hosted by the best-selling author and motivational speaker; and "In Your Face with Bo Dietl," led by the detective, security expert, author, actor and entrepreneur. America has two new voices, and the audience has a chance to participate. Its real people, with real problems, and two unique talents not afraid to talk about the tough and very real issues.

Justice Hour

Two legal minds are better than one as Judge Mark Evans and his wife Judge Elizabeth Coker bring their home life to the bench on "Relative Justice," a relationship-themed twist on the family court show genre. The companion strip is "Big Apple Justice," a half-hour presided over by judge and author Edwin Torres ("Carlito's Way"), who uses his years of experience to find the truth in any case.

The Empower Hour

Actress and model, wife and mother, and royal family member Catherine Oxenberg attempts to enrich and empower people in "Practical Princess," a daily arena for fun and topical conversation. "Shrink Rap," the companion strip, is hosted by Starting Over and VH1 Celebrity Fit Club presence Stacy Kaiser, and it offers valuable tools in love, life and the pursuit of happiness.

Star Power Hour

With "Jury Duty," presided over by famed Judge Bruce Cutler, off and successfully running, Radar Entertainment has unveiled the perfect companion piece: "Star Witness," with legal analyst Rikki Kliemen sorting through battling litigants with the help of a celebrity star witness.

Radar Entertainment, in addition, will introduce the following two new stand-alone half-hour strips:

"Teen Talk with India Oxenberg," a daily half-hour for afternoon or early fringe targeted to female teens... the next generation of society. Not since the departure of The Ricki Lake Show has there been a daytime talk targeted to this important demographic. And "Godfrey Live," 30 daily minutes in late night of edgy topical talk, zany sketch comedy and variety hosted by comedian Godfrey.
