Radical Innovations - And the Winner Is...

MIAMI, FL--(Marketwire - October 24, 2007) - HD Boutique and The John Hardy Group drew crowds to the conference session Radical Innovations - What's Next!, on September 19th at the Miami Beach Convention Center, Miami Beach, Florida.

The session consisted of this year's newest competition, a search for the most Radical Innovation in a Hospitality Concept, sponsored by Hospitality Design magazine and The John Hardy Group. An announcement this past summer regarding the competition drew entries from around the globe. "We really weren't sure what to expect; this was our radical concept for a contest and hoped it would bring innovative and totally new lodging concepts and it exceeded our expectations," says John Hardy, president/CEO of The John Hardy Group.

A panel of industry experts including John Hardy; Claude Amar, The John Hardy Group International; Michael Medzigian, Watermark Capital Partners; Pamela Parsons, Host Hotels & Resorts; Simon Turner, Hotel Capital Advisers, Inc.; and James Woods, Keen Partners, LLC, judged the entries and chose two finalist who were brought to Miami to present their entries to the audience and judges during the HD Boutique session. The audience determined the winner by submitting a ballot authenticated by Scott Berman of Price Waterhouse Coopers.

French designer, Jean-Claude Carme, Executive Vice President of Poseidon, took home the Grand prize of $5,000.00 for the Poseidon Undersea Resort.

The other finalist, another hot entry, MoMotel presented by Carly Cannell and Linda Wallack of Weetu Corp, came in as a very close second. Two additional entries received Honorable Mentions, Sean C. Harry of WATG for The Urban Business Hotel 2055 and Nicolas Dahan & Olivier Peyricot Architecture and Design/ Dyanamo Hospitality Consulting for The Range Camp.
