Patrons Can Checkout and Download eBooks and Audio Books

RANCHO MIRAGE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 1, 2006 -- Rancho Mirage Public Library,
www.ranchomiragelibrary.org, introduces a new digital service that will
allow patrons to check out and download digital Audio Books and eBooks from
the Library’s catalog, http://rml.lib.overdrive.com.
What does this mean? Patrons can browse and search a collection of Audio
Books and eBooks. With a variety of subjects including best sellers,
fiction and nonfiction, the eCollections offers something for everyone.
Getting started is easy! With a valid Rancho Mirage Public Library card,
patrons can simply download and install free digital media software, browse
the eCollection, and then checkout and download digital titles on a
personal computer. Some Audio Books can even be burned to a CD or
transferred to a compatible MP3 device to enjoy anytime, anywhere.
Downloading is also available in the library at the "Download Station."
