About Sapotek Inc.

Sapotek Inc. was founded in 2002 to respond to the increasing global demand for Internet-based software and services by developing solutions that are both comprehensive and affordable. Having created and tested a web-based desktop that mimics the look, feel and functionality of a local computer, Sapotek now finds itself at the forefront of the Web 2.0 movement. This presupposes the transformation of the Internet from a medium where information is simply published and remains static, into a platform where applications reside and services are distributed.

The Sapotek desktop includes e-mail, instant messenger, file manager with sharing function and image preview, shared calendar, address book with shareable records, chat rooms and forums, web browser, internal and external search engine, MP3 player, a blog creator, as well as MSFT-compatible word processor and spreadsheet programs. Also, because the desktop is a hosted solution, it requires no hard disk space at the end-user level and runs on any terminal or device via the web browser, regardless of its operating system.
