Ray O'Brien Joins Coastal Services Group (Pink Sheets: CSVG) Board of Advisors

FALLS CHURCH, VA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 5, 2005 -- Coastal Services Group, Inc. (OTC: CSVG), a provider of telecommunications and related services to Africa and African immigrants in the United States, announced today that telecom industry veteran Ray O'Brien has joined the company's Board of Advisors.

O'Brien is currently CEO of Verestar, where he restructured the company and led negotiations on its acquisition by SES Americom late last year. Prior to joining Verestar, he held executive-level positions with such companies as Sprint, Statoil and SkyTel. During his 12 years with Sprint, O'Brien had a broad range of responsibilities including president of several business units. At SkyTel, he introduced the first two-way narrowband PCS network.

Coastal Services Group CEO John Page welcomed O'Brien at Coastal's offices in Tyson's Corner in Northern Virginia. "Ray brings to Coastal more than 25 years of industry experience, ranging from Sprint to start-ups, as well as a network of contacts in finance. He also brings a real enthusiasm for our African ventures," said Page.

O'Brien, who has been asked by SES Americom to stay at the helm of Verestar during the transition, promised to take a "very active role" as an advisor to Coastal. "I've spent most of my life in high tech, with a detour for a few years in the energy industry with Statoil. This is my first opportunity, though, to work on high tech projects in developing markets, which has long been an interest of mine. Telecom development in Africa in the past ten years has been both an amazing social and technical story and an excellent investment, and working with Coastal offers the chance to contribute to these developments," O'Brien said.
