The Red Group's "Attack of the Terabytes" Direct Mail Wins Best Business-to-Business Campaign at the 2007 PRO Awards

Selected as One of Top Four Best Creative Finalists With Gap, Altoids and Court TV

WHEATON, IL--(Marketwire - September 26, 2007) - The Red Group, a full-service marketing and advertising agency, took home the award for Best Dealer, Sales Force or Business-to-Business Campaign for its "Attack of the Terabytes" direct mail campaign at PROMO Magazine's 2007 PRO Awards for the best in promotion marketing.

Of the 550 entries submitted, "Attack of the Terabytes" was also selected as one of the judges' top four choices for Best Creative. Other finalists were the Gap (PRODUCT) RED launch, Altoids dark chocolate dipped mints' anti-Valentine's campaign, and an integrated-media campaign by Court TV.

"At The Red Group, we're always looking for the hook that will get people to respond at an emotional level," explains Rachel Klein, president of The Red Group. "We believe that when a person goes to the office, they don't leave their sense of humor at home. The 1300% return on this program validates that point." While the cause-based Gap campaign featuring U2 lead singer Bono won the Best Creative award, Klein added, "We're thrilled to have our B2B work recognized in a creative category among such elite consumer brands."

The Red Group wins best b-to-b campaign at PRO Awards

The winning campaign, created for Forsythe Solutions Group, took a tongue-in-cheek look at the issues associated with today's information technology workplace. Each of the four mailers in the campaign addressed a different IT problem and a potential solution combining Forsythe's services with different products from Sun Microsystems' portfolio. By illustrating the challenges through B-movie style art and titles such as "Attack of the Terabytes," "The Islands of Isolated Data," and "Night of the Endless Backup," each dimensional mailer got directly to the concerns and frustrations felt by IT executives. In the initial mailing, executives received a DVD of the original "Alien" movie, with the offer of a thematically-related special gift if they took a meeting.

To date, the program has helped spur more than $2 million in new business for Forsythe.

"Our customers really seemed to appreciate this campaign's humorous approach to serious IT issues," said Paul Zajdel, director of Forsythe's Sun Microsystems solutions team. "We congratulate The Red Group on being recognized by their own industry for their creativity in delivering this message to our customers."
