Reminder: 400,000 bulbs to colour sky at Downsview Park's Trail of Lights

Media invited to preview Canada’s largest walk-through holiday light show

Attention: Arts/Entertainment Editor, Assignment Editor, City Editor, Lifestyle Editor, Photo Editor TORONTO, ONTARIO, MEDIA ADVISORY--(Marketwire - Nov. 27, 2008) - With the flick of a switch, Downsview Park will illuminate its inaugural holiday lights display and interactive festival with a Media and Special Guests preview this Thursday, November 27, 2008.

Media will have the first opportunity to experience this two kilometre-long holiday walking trail, featuring over 400,000 energy-efficient LED lights arranged into 16 themed areas, including Canada's largest walk-through illuminated Holiday Tree.

Highlights of Downsview Park's Trail of Lights include over 400 illuminated holiday-themed light displays - more than half of which are animated; 13 illuminated walk-through arches, and 16 lighted theme areas. Indoor activities include caroling, holiday treats and a Holiday Village of vendors.

Downsview Park's Trail of Lights will be open to the public for 34 consecutive nights, from Friday, November 28 to Wednesday, December 31, 2008.
