SANDY, UT--(Marketwire - January 8, 2008) - RemoteMDx, Inc. (OTCBB: RMDX), a leader in monitoring technologies for the criminal justice system, announced the acquisition of a 51% controlling interest in Court Programs, Inc. as detailed in an 8-K filed on December 21, 2007. Court Programs has administered alternative sentencing programs and related monitoring of offender services for more than thirty years in the Southeast United States. Court Programs presently has eighteen offices and fifty employees located in Mississippi and Florida. It monitors over 7,000 offenders on a daily basis.

"With the addition of Court Programs, RemoteMDx solidifies its presence in Florida and Mississippi. "These companies are well entrenched politically and organizationally in their territories. Combine this with the Company's state-of-the-art monitoring center provided by RemoteMDx's wholly owned subsidiary, SecureAlert establishes a strong foundation in achieving RemoteMDx's plan to monitor in excess of 40,000 offenders by 2009."

"CPI provides services to over 100 courts within 34 counties in Mississippi and Florida. With the financial strength of RemoteMDx combined with SecureAlert's monitoring expertise and management, I believe that we can dramatically grow our business in the Southeast," said David Rothbart, President and CEO of Court Programs. "This consolidation will greatly enhance the services that we can offer to our customers."
