RemoteMDx's Wholly Owned Subsidiary SecureAlert Announces Contracts for Texas

SANDY, UT--(Marketwire - October 4, 2007) - SecureAlert, a subsidiary of RemoteMDx, Inc. (OTCBB: RMDX) and a leader in the pioneering technologies and services to aid in monitoring offenders who are a risk to society, today announced fulfillment on contracts in 29 counties in Texas. Texas has one of the largest parole and probation populations in the nation with over 495,000 offenders that make up 10% of the United States adult probation and parole offenders. SecureAlert's headway into the Texas criminal justice market has primarily occurred over the past 60 days. It is estimated by year's end that SecureAlert will be monitoring in excess of 2,500 offenders in Texas alone.

"The criminal justice market continues to evolve just as our technology and services evolve," said Jim Dalton, President of RemoteMDx. "Texas is an important early adopter of new technologies in controlling crime, and the fact that Texas has embraced the SecureAlert product and service is a great compliment."

SecureAlert offers a unique combination of a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week monitoring center, coupled with proprietary and patented technology that locates offenders wherever they may be and tracks and responds to violations of predetermined geo-zones, two and three-way voice communications and application-specific software, all packaged in one compact, tamper-resistant device with a 95 decibel alarm worn by the offender. SecureAlert offers to agencies a turnkey service including equipment, real-time monitoring and training. The responsible enforcement agency is able to direct SecureAlert's monitoring center to establish parameters of movement by offenders or known predators and any breach in the pre-established rules by each offender triggers an alarm. At any time, day or night, professionally trained agents of SecureAlert, Inc. are able to communicate in real time with the offender through the device's built-in interactions capability. Additionally, agents are able to summon police if necessary.

Since January of 2007 over 250 law enforcement agencies throughout the United States have contracted with SecureAlert for its product and services. Currently SecureAlert has in excess of 10,000 units that have either been sold or are revenue producing pursuant to its monitoring service.
