Responsys Appoints Julian Ong as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

Former Salesforce.com and SuccessFactors Veteran Joins Team to Further Growth and Expansion

SAN BRUNO, CA--(Marketwire - June 17, 2010) -  Responsys, a leading global provider of on-demand email and cross-channel marketing solutions, today announced the appointment of Julian Ong as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Responsys. Reporting directly to Dan Springer, Chief Executive Officer, Ong will oversee all legal matters of the company.

Ong most recently was Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at SuccessFactors where he built out the company's legal function and helped take the company public. Before that, he served as Deputy General Counsel at salesforce.com and helped take the company public. Previously, Ong was an associate in the Palo Alto office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, following a stint as a deputy district attorney for Santa Clara County and a federal district court clerkship in the District of Hawaii. Ong holds bachelors and masters degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford University and received his law degree from Berkeley Law.
