Ressources Minieres Pro-Or Inc.: Activity Update on the St-Augustin-de-Desmaures Plant

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - March 31, 2010) - Ressources Minières Pro-Or Inc. (TSX VENTURE:POI) wishes to present an update on its activities at St-Augustin-de-Desmaures pilot plant.

Since the start of our agreement with FMO of South Africa, our production team has greatly benefited from the assistance of experts whose expertise lies more specifically for Platinum Group Metals («PGM»). During the last 6 months of 2009 the two teams worked together to prove the efficacy of the plant equipment and have completed numerous plant and laboratory tests and trials in an effort to maximize the Platinum Palladium and Rhodium recovery rates.

The plant was fed with concentrates produced from FMO-supplied catalytic converters. The weight of the concentrates was approximately one (1) ton, equally divided into two lots: Lot #1 and Lot #2. Pro-Or received from the refiner on March 24, 2010 the final settlement from the sale of PGM from Lot # 1 which weighed 558 Kg. of concentrate. Pro-Or is proud to announce that it produced : 21.08 ounces of Palladium, 11.45 ounces of Platinum and 2.05 ounces of Rhodium for a total value of US$32,094. Pro-Or is currently waiting for the settlement from the sale of Lot#2.

Alexandre Hébert, Pro-Or's St-Augustin metallurgist, in charge of the plant operations states:

«Following the treatment of Lot 1, a series of laboratory tests was elaborated and completed to improve Rhodium recovery. The introduction of a reactive agent into the catalytic converters concentrate at the start of the process has significantly increased the Rhodium recovery. The laboratory tests demonstrated a recovery rate of 94% (Rh). As a result of the confirmation of the substantially increased recovery rates, Pro-Or is now introducing this reactive agent in all treatment sequences. Following the use of this agent never before attained recovery rates were obtained.

We are now in a position to confirm that the expected recovery rates from future plant production will be in the order of 99% (Pt) 99% (Pd) and 94% (Rh).

These results are qualitative since the concentrate was not homogenous and recovery rates can vary based on the type of catalytic converter concentrates being treated. These results are very promising for future production. We believe that the process allows for further Rhodium recovery rate improvements.»

Our agreement with FMO came to an end in January and was extended for an undetermined period of time. There are currently laboratory tests being completed for the improvement in Rhodium recovery. Pro-Or now wishes to run the plant at its full capacity and is currently analyzing various feed sourcing opportunities.
