Media representatives are invited to attend a news conference on Tuesday, October 16, 2007, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Hospital. Two significant investments in British Columbia healthcare research will be announced. The first is an investment at the internationally renowned BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS and the second is a donation to establish a Simon Fraser University research chair in cardiovascular prevention. Both research initiatives are to be housed in St. Paul's Hospital, part of Providence Health Care.
