MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwire - January 9, 2008) - Ribbit, Silicon Valley's first phone company, is pleased to announce that the company has been selected as a finalist for the 2007 Crunchies Awards, in the categories of Best New Start-Up of 2007 and Best Enterprise Start-Up. In December 2007, Ribbit came out of stealth mode to unveil the Ribbit SmartSwitch™, a disruptive new platform for developing telephony services and a new business model for serving the new global telephony market. Ribbit is one of five companies chosen in each category based on over 82,000 nominations from the internet community.

"Ribbit is delighted to be a finalist," said Ted Griggs, co-founder and CEO at Ribbit. "Telephony is ripe for innovation as users are beginning to expect more from their telephony services. With a strong platform and an active developer community, Ribbit is bringing rapid innovation to a stagnant industry. We're especially pleased about being selected for Best Enterprise Start-Up since it acknowledges the hard work we've been doing on our Ribbit for Salesforce solution."
