Richardson International Acquires Eco Seeds in Peace River, AB

Continuing to Expand Western Network

Attention: Agriculture Editor, Business/Financial Editor, Media Editor, News Editor, World News Editor WINNIPEG, MANITOBA, MEDIA ADVISORY--(Marketwire - April 15, 2010) - Richardson International Limited ("Richardson") has completed the acquisition of Eco Seeds, a Fairview, Alberta-based company specializing in the supply of agriculture inputs. The Eco Seeds locations in Fairview and in Rycroft, Alberta will complement the growing Richardson Pioneer network of Ag Business Centres that provide producers with access to fully-integrated operations and services.

The Crop Service Centres in Fairview and Rycroft offer high-quality seed and top-name crop protection products. Richardson will add to the range of services offered through an additional investment at Fairview for the construction of a new 1,200 metric tonne fertilizer storage facility with a 200 mt/h continuous high-speed blender to be completed this fall.

"Peace River is one of Western Canada's highest producing agricultural regions and we are pleased to continue to invest in our network to better serve area producers," says Darwin Sobkow, Richardson International's Vice President, Agribusiness Operations.

The Fairview facility helps to further establish Richardson's presence in the Peace River region, serving as an extension of the products and services provided by Richardson Pioneer's Dunvegan Ag Business Centre in Rycroft and complementing the Crop Service Centres in Falher and Spirit River, Alberta.

Adam Laliberte, the previous owner-operator of Eco Seeds, will continue to manage operations at the Fairview Crop Service Centre on behalf of Richardson. To ensure consistency of service and the continuation of locally-maintained customer relationships, the company is committed to retaining the employment of current staff.

"Rest assured, area customers will continue to receive the same quality of service and products that they have grown to expect from the people that they know and trust," says Sobkow. "Richardson's interest and involvement in these facilities will only enhance producers' overall experience by giving them access to all the benefits and opportunities of working with a company that is investing locally."
