Richmond Hill CA re-elected District Association President

Richmond Hill Chartered Accountant and prominent business leader Peter Baek, CA, has been re-elected President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario's York District CA Association. The District Association is the CA profession's local presence and organizes activities that benefit local Chartered Accountants and the community at large.

In addition to helping to serve, represent and provide fellowship among local CAs, the District Association also helps bring the Institute's many programs to its members and helps organize their contribution to important CA community events such as tax clinics for people with low incomes. Mr. Baek is a Tax Partner with Gardiner Roberts LLP in Toronto. A CA since 1991, he is also a lawyer and has been practicing as a tax lawyer and CA for more than 10 years. Prior to pursuing his law degree, Peter worked as a senior tax auditor at the Canada Revenue Agency. Aside from his membership with the Ontario CA institute, he is also a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation, the Society of Trust and Estate Planners (STEP), the Ontario Bar Association and the Toronto Center Canada Revenue Agency and Professionals Group.
