Robert P. Wayman, Hewlett-Packard Company, Receives Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award

Wayman Will Be Honored at the 5th Annual Bay Area CFO of the Year Awards

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - February 12, 2010) - The Independent Selection Panel of the Bay Area CFO of the Year Awards announced today Robert P. Wayman, Retired Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Hewlett-Packard Company, as the recipient of the 2010 Hall of Fame - Lifetime Achievement Award. Serving as EVP and CFO of HP from 1984 until 2006, Wayman's long career has included virtually every financial leadership function. He began with HP in 1969 as a cost accountant, and was at various times responsible for IT, real estate, legal and HR, in addition to overseeing the controller function, treasury, tax, audit and investor relations. By the time of his retirement as CFO, Wayman had served as Interim CEO at HP and on the boards of HP, Sybase, Con-way and Affymetrix, as well as on the Advisory Board of the Kellogg School at Northwestern University in Chicago.

Wayman, along with the Finalists and Winners in six other CFO award categories, will be honored at the fifth annual Bay Area CFO of the Year Awards on May 26, 2010 at the Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco. The awards dinner is a sell-out event attended by prominent Bay Area business executives. All proceeds benefit Larkin Street Youth Services, the leading nonprofit providing housing, education, job assistance, medical and social services to homeless and high risk youth in San Francisco.

Past recipients of the Hall of Fame - Lifetime Achievement Award are Peter A. Darbee, PG&E Corporation, Pacific Gas and Electric Company; Andy D. Bryant, Intel Corporation; Jeffrey O. Henley, Oracle; and Lou Lavinge, Genentech, Inc.

Finalists for the Bay Area CFO of the Year will be announced in March, and the Winners will be announced at the dinner and awards ceremony on May 26. Finalists and winners will be chosen by a blue ribbon independent Selection Panel comprised of business and academic leaders including, Alison Davis, Managing Partner, Belvedere Capital; Mary Huss, Publisher, San Francisco Business Times; Lou Lavigne, Former CFO Genentech, Managing Director, LavigneGroupe; Rich Lyons, Dean, Haas School of Business, U C Berkeley; Ann Mather, Audit Committee Chair, Google; and Gideon Yu, General Partner, Khosla Ventures.
