Rocky Mountain Corporate Update

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 2, 2007) - ROCKY MOUNTAIN RESOURCES CORP. ("Rocky Mountain") (TSX VENTURE:RKY) is please to announce the commencement of work on the following two projects.

Gibellini Project, Eureka County, Nevada

Rocky Mountain has completed 6000 feet of reverse circulation in 17 drill holes and is currently conducting core drilling of an additional 1500 feet in four holes. The purpose of the drill program is three-fold:

- To provide material for metallurgical testing and density determinations and to define the pit boundaries at the Gibellini vanadium deposit.

- To test the thickness and grade of vanadium mineralization at the Rich vanadium deposit where trench samples indicate a second vanadium deposit of 1000 meters to the south of the main Gibellini resource.

- And to define the extents of the mineralized pipe-like breccia body at the Gibellini Manganese-Nickel mine.

Lake Owen Project, Albany County, Wyoming

The entire 18 square mile claim block now has a detailed ground magnetic survey. A 2600 soil and rock chip geochemical survey has been completed and will be compiled to test for platinum and palladium in horizons identified by ground magnetic surveys. Approximately 2500 feet of drill core collected by Chevron Resources is being split and assayed for platinum.
