Roger CPA Review Announces "Sip into Spring" Event to Benefit Accounting Career Awareness Program (ACAP) of Seattle

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - April 13, 2010) -  Roger CPA Review, the foremost CPA exam review course dedicated to helping students pass the CPA exam, is proud to announce they will be hosting the "Sip into Spring" event on Tuesday, April 27 to benefit the Accounting Career Awareness Program (ACAP) of Seattle.

The event will celebrate the end of the busy tax season by offering accounting professionals the chance to mingle, enjoy drinks and appetizers, and give back to the community. A silent auction and raffle will be held for three full Roger CPA Review courses and other prizes, with all proceeds going to ACAP of Seattle.

Development of ACAP began in 1980, when Mel Minnis and Ron Leveret became concerned about the small proportion of minorities entering the accounting field. In 1982 ACAP was founded to recruit minority youths and provide the educational enrichment experiences and practical help they need to prepare for higher education and careers in the field of accounting or business related areas.

"We are very excited about hosting this event, and encourage all accounting professionals to come out and support this great cause," said a Roger CPA Review representative. "We hope to raise at least $10,000 for the ACAP program which would provide Residency Week Scholarships for 20 minority students."

Sip into Spring will take place on Tuesday, April 27 from 6:30pm to 9:00pm at the Blu Water Bistro located at 1001 Fairview Ave. North in Seattle.
