Ron Schneider Joins Laurel Hill Advisory Group

NEW YORK, NEW YORK--(Marketwire - March 1, 2010) - The Laurel Hill Advisory Group, a leading provider of corporate governance advisory and proxy solicitation services throughout North America, today announced the hiring of corporate governance specialist and proxy solicitation veteran Ron Schneider. During his 30+ year career, Ron has advised a broad range of public companies, investors and non-public member organizations on issues ranging from executive compensation, shareholder rights, activism and proxy contests to corporate governance and investor relations as well as mergers and acquisitions.

Ron joins Laurel Hill after 9 years with BNY Mellon, during which time he provided the bank's clients with strategic advice and guidance on emerging corporate issues including Say on Pay and Proxy Access. He also consulted on perennial challenges such as countering the influence of proxy advisory agencies, and cost-effective strategies for cultivating retail voting support.

Ron's earlier experience includes 14 years with proxy solicitors Morrow & Company, D.F. King and Georgeson. He was also a consultant to proxy intermediary ADP Investor Communications Services (now Broadridge Financial), where he was that firm's first "Issuer Liaison" and worked as the head of the proxy solicitation, governance and stock surveillance group of The Financial Relations Board, Inc. (FRB) who, at that time, was the country's largest investor relations agency.

At Laurel Hill, Ron will apply his extensive experience to counsel its clients and
their Boards on a wide range of issues affecting public companies, including executive compensation, board elections and the ever changing regulatory environment.

John Siemann, Laurel Hill's Chief Operating Officer stated, "We look forward to Ron contributing to our continuing growth as a uniquely differentiated consultative resource for companies and their Boards of Directors, as well as a high quality provider of tactical implementation for proxy solicitations, M&A transactions and other important corporate issues."

"We are fortunate to have Ron join our talented group of experienced professionals. He further strengthens our knowledge base and client support commitment," added Laurel Hill's Chairman, Dr. William Catacosinos.

"I am excited to join Laurel Hill and their knowledgeable and deeply tenured senior management team. Their commitment to proactive, year-round advice to clients is the right approach for these challenging times," Ron said.
