Rotary Club of Boston #7 Hosts Event for New Members

Networking and Community Outreach Opportunity for Boston Professionals

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - February 16, 2010) -  The Rotary Club of Boston #7, Boston's premiere civic organization, announced today that it will celebrate its 100th birthday with a social networking event on Wednesday, February 24, 2010. The evening will begin at 6:00PM at the Boston Park Plaza (, 50 Arlington, Street, Boston, MA 02116.

Attendees will include Metro-Boston professionals, entrepreneurs, educators and university students. Those interested in the Rotary Club of Boston #7 ( will have an opportunity to informally chat with current members.

Kevin Walsh, Comcast SportsNet news anchor and reporter, the event's featured speaker, will address the challenges and rewards of civically engaging our community. Eileen O'Connell, President of the Rotary Club of Boston #7, will discuss what the organization can offer to new members. The club holds weekly networking events for Boston members. Recent speakers have included Senator Scott Brown, Fisher College President Tom McGovern and Navy Vice Admiral Kevin McCoy.
