Route1 Announces TruOFFICE™ 2.8 With Strengthened Security

Compatible with Microsoft® Windows 7 Operating System

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Jan. 21, 2010) - Route1 Inc. (TSX VENTURE:ROI), a security and identity-based services company, today announced software enhancements to its MobiNET(R) Services, including AES 256 (Advanced Encryption Standard) for encrypted data communications. TruOFFICE 2.8, to be released on April 13, 2010, will also strengthen the certificate keys to 2048 bits for commercial solutions and support customers using TruOFFICE to connect to Microsoft Windows 7 desktops.

Route1's TruOFFICE, powered by MobiNET, is an identity-based remote access service that connects users to their workspaces (desktops, servers, databases) from anywhere, at any time. TruOFFICE eliminates the need to carry laptops and storage devices potentially containing sensitive information that could get copied, lost, or stolen. Built for security, mobility, and simplicity, TruOFFICE mitigates data leakage by keeping all files and data behind an organization's firewalls. AES 256 encrypted screen captures of a user's workspace are updated in real time to the user's monitor.

A user simply inserts their MobiKEY identity validation USB device, into any Internet-enabled computer and enters the requisite smart card password to immediately access digital resources as if they never left their desk. There is no need to configure a VPN, launch operating systems, applications, and files from encrypted storage devices, or install any software on the guest computer. TruOFFICE costs less than one dollar or euro a day.

"Continual advances in generally available computational power require stronger cryptographic keys to stay ahead of information assurance threats. 2048 bit RSA user and device certificates will be the baseline for Route1's future products in 2010 and 2011," said Jerry Iwanski, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Route1 Inc.
