Route1 Confirms US Government's Intention to Procure MobiKEY Devices for RESFOR

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 4, 2010) - Route1 Inc. (TSX VENTURE:ROI), a security and identity management company, today confirmed the earlier report by The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office that it intends to procure Route1's MobiKEY devices in support of the Commander Navy Reserve Forces Command (RESFOR) in Norfolk VA.

The proposed procurement is being processed by FISC on an other than full and open competitive basis with Route1 pursuant to section 4202 of Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996, as implemented by FAR 13.501(a), 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), one source or limited source. The proposed action will result in a firm fixed price purchase order.

There can be no assurance that Route1 will conclude a definitive binding agreement with FISC or RESFOR in respect of the procurement of the MobiKEY devices.

FISC has previously announced that Route1 is the only vendor that has the stringent PKI/non-repudiation for CAC authentication built into its device. As such, FISC has announced that Route1 is the sole provider and developer of this technology, and has indicated that Route1's device is an integral part of the Proof of Concept and Pilot evaluation planned by RESFOR, as announced by Route1 on March 2, 2010.
