RouteMatch Software, Inc. Chosen as Primary Scheduling and Dispatching Software by Boone County Transit

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - April 27, 2010) -  RouteMatch Software, Inc. today announced that Boone County Transit in Indiana selected RouteMatch TS™ software, its flagship intelligent transportation system (ITS) software for automated routing, scheduling and coordination.

Boone County Senior Services, Inc., d/b/a Boone County Transit coordinated a procurement on behalf of thirteen nonurbanized area transit systems in the State of Indiana that have received grant funds under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. RouteMatch Software was also selected by several other nonurbanized area transit systems off of this procurement.

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) provided funding to the Indiana Department of Transportation under the authority provided in 49 U.S.C. § 5311. The procurement was conducted as a cooperative offering a diverse range of software system products, and established a schedule of prices for a complete software package including all licensing, installation, database conversion, third-party mapping products, training, hosting and one year warranty costs.

RouteMatch Software, in addition to their core Paratransit solution, will be implementing Data Management, Computer Assisted & Batch Scheduling and improved Reporting Tools. Tim Quinn, Executive Vice President of RouteMatch Software, stated, "RouteMatch is very excited about the opportunity to partner with Boone County Transit and supply advanced transportation management technologies to their operations. Boone County selected us over many other vendors in a competitive procurement, and we look forward to a long-term partnership and to assist them in executing their vision for improving public transit in their community."

Boone County will realize significant improvements in the management of client data and scheduling as they presently use access databases and excel worksheets for these tasks. Additionally, Batch Scheduling Tools will help them optimize their standing order templates as well as the majority of trips reserved prior to the day of service.

Susan Ritz, Executive Director of Boone County Senior Services, said, "The scalability of the software to grow with our transit system, ease of use, ability to change to adapt the schedule to fit our needs, and customer service were all key components in choosing RouteMatch Software."
