The Herend Porcelain Manufactory is the world's largest handmade porcelain producer. Since 1826, Herend has been producing exquisite porcelain figurines and china in the small village of Herend, two hours South-West of Budapest. Each piece of china is meticulously made and hand-painted; there are over 1500 fine artists. The Herend Porcelain Manufactory was the purveyor of the Habsburg Dynasty as well as aristocracy both in Hungary and all over the world. The factory consciously preserves traditions and therefore the quality of Herend Porcelain is consistent. This is also appreciated by its purchasers, amongst whom are the Japanese imperial court, HRH Queen Victoria, HRH Queen Elisabeth, HS Pope John Paul II and HS Pope Benedict XVI, The Sultan of Brunei, Lady Diana, Harrison Ford, Celine Dion and Wayne Gretzky.

The familiar names such as Queen Victoria and Rothschild which appear in the catalogue with approximately 3,000 patterns and 16,000 forms are proof of their customer base which remains wide to this day.
