SAFER Systems Releases Version 9.4 for Real-Time® and STAR®

CAMARILLO, CA--(Marketwire - June 5, 2007) - SAFER Systems, the recognized global leader in integrated software for chemical emergency response solutions, recently released its new Version 9.4 for SAFER Real-Time® and SAFER STAR®.

This release contains major improvements to the administrative tools and other important fixes and enhancements to Version 9.3. Some of the new features and enhancements include an updated STAR® Site Manager; more interactive editing of maps in the GIS Admin tool; and integration of the creation, management, and organization of predefined release scenarios into the Emergency Response program itself, instead of creating cases in one area and organizing in a separate application. Also built in to Version 9.4 are color coding of gas sensor alarm states, improved plume trajectory calculations for elevated releases in complex terrain, an expanded Data Configuration Toolkit, a standard 3-parameter Antoine formula for user-defined liquid mixtures, and a new data communication interface for several data systems.

Rounding out the Version 9.4 upgrade are an enhanced Modbus integer data format for handling negative values and several updates to the Chemical Library.

Shah Khajehnajafi, Vice President of Development, says "STAR® and Real-Time® Version 9.4 is a dream come true for system managers. It helps to perfect the creation and organization of predefined scenarios and GIS mapping. This development is a stepping stone toward the grand vision of making system setup and modification as easy as 1-2-3."
