SDTC a Proud Winner of the GLOBE Finance Award for Sustainability

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - March 24, 2010) - Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) is pleased to have been selected by the Globe Foundation as the recipient of the 2010 Finance Award for Sustainability. The award was presented to SDTC during the GLOBE 2010 Welcome Reception in Vancouver on Tuesday night.

"SDTC is honoured to receive this award from such a well-recognized organization in the environmental sphere as the Globe Foundation," said Vicky Sharpe, President and CEO of SDTC. "On behalf of the Government of Canada, we have been working to green Canada's economy and help the country maintain its position as a global leader in the sector, and we will continue to do so."

Now in their 8th edition, the Globe Awards are presented each year to Canadian companies that excel in sustainable business practices, develop progressive technologies and offer outstanding services. The Finance Award for Sustainability was given to SDTC in recognition of the foundation's excellent contribution to sustainability and its outstanding role as the single largest source of cleantech financing in Canada over the last five years.
