SNS Reports Commencement of 100,000 Foot Underground Drilling Program

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 3, 2008) - SNS Silver Corp. ("SNS" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:SNS) reports continued progress at the Crescent Mine. Kettle Drilling has recently completed mobilization of the underground drills in the main Hooper Tunnel level and underground drilling has commenced.

Kettle is using an Atlas Copco U8 O3 core drill which is capable of depths of over 4,000 feet. This drill is the first of two drills expected to be put into operation in early 2008 as SNS moves aggressively with the 100,000 foot underground drill program. The Company expects that results of the first drill hole should be released in late January and will continue throughout 2008. Three core drilling stations are now complete with approximately 10,000 to 12,000 feet per station while the Company continues drifting and additional drill station excavation.

Underground exploration will explore new areas on the Alhambra Structure and will begin with a new drift driven westward along the Alhambra fault. Drilling stations will be positioned at 500 foot intervals. A second exploration drift at approximately 3,500 feet inside the Hooper Tunnel will be driven approximately 800 feet to intersect the South Vein. South Vein exploration will require a new drift driven both eastward and westward with drill stations also at 500 foot spacing.

The Company has purchased 25.9 acres of surface property adjacent to the Crescent Mine, which will be used for a repository and haulage area for the drifting phase.

SNS Silver Corporation (TSX VENTURE:SNS) is an exploration mining company, whose primary asset is the 100% owned Crescent Mine located in Kellogg, Idaho - one of the largest silver districts in North America with over one billion ounces of silver produced.
