SNS Silver Drills 1443 g/t (42 opt) Over 2.1 Meters

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 17, 2007) - SNS Silver Corp. ("SNS") (TSX VENTURE:SNS) announces results from diamond drill hole SNS-305a, having intercepted 6.8 feet (2.1 metres) of core, with an average grade of 42.1 oz/t (1,443 g/t) of silver. The intercept from 888.7 feet to 895.5 feet, has a true width of 4.8 feet (1.5 m). Hole SNS-305a, an intersection of the South Vein, is approximately 250 feet (75 metres) up-dip and 200 vertical feet (60 metres) above the previously announced drill hole intercept SNS-403 announced on September 10th, 2007, with 10 feet (3.05 metres) of 56 oz/t (1,910 g/t). The South Vein intercept of SNS-305a is approximately 1,400 feet (425 metres) above the main entrance of the Hooper Tunnel, and is about 670 feet (205 metres) from the surface.

Highlights of diamond drill hole 305a include:

- 347 oz/t (11,901 g/t) of 0.20 feet Ag (true width)

- 84.2 oz/t (2,887 g/t) of 0.90 feet Ag (true width)

- 21.4 oz/t (734 g/t) of 0.95 feet Ag (true width)

This assay result provides reasonable conformation that the South Vein indeed does extend near the surface where the vein was previously mined nearly 5,000 feet (1,524 metres) below the current surface drill intercepts. The continuation of the surface and underground drilling shall provide further data of the South Vein as well as the Alhambra vein. All results were reported fire assay (FA) except the interval from 886.70 to 888.70 due to the sample containing less than 1.0 oz/t silver, which was reported by Atomic Absorption (AA). Assays were performed by Chris Christopherson, Inc.

Currently there are three holes being drilled. Drill-hole SNS-306a, with a current depth of 721 feet, is drilling at a similar elevation to the west of the South Vein intercept obtained in SNS-305a. The other two holes in progress to the Alhambra vein have depths of 626 feet and 890 feet. An assay result for an additional hole is pending.

Quality Control Standards

SNS Silver Corp. has instrumented a quality control and assurance program, in which the core is first photographed, logged, and split in equal halves for sampling, while the other half is kept for reference/verification purposes. The samples are then delivered by SNS employees where, "At least one in ten samples is run duplicate and all runs have quality control samples with the standards" as quoted by Chris Christopherson at Chris Christopherson, Inc. in Smelterville, Idaho. Other blank samples are randomly inserted as well by SNS staff to provide further assurance of accuracy.
