SNS Silver Reports Second Intercept in Newly Discovered Vein: 472 g/t (13.8 opt) Over 1.77 Metres

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 7, 2008) - SNS Silver Corp. ("SNS") (TSX VENTURE:SNS) announces assay results from a second intercept of a newly discovered vein previously reported on November 13, 2007. The new intercept is in diamond drill hole SNS-704a, where it extends 5.82 feet (1.77 metres) with an average grade of 13.78 oz/t (472 g/t) of silver across a true width of 4.77 feet (1.45 metres). This intercept is approximately 80 feet (24 metres) southeast of the discovery intercept in SNS-705, as described in the SNS press release dated November 13, 2007.

The vein currently referred to as "Alhambra II", lies 4 to 5 metres out in the hanging wall of the Alhambra Fault and is separated from the Alhambra Vein, by about 4 metres of wall rock. The Alhambra Vein lies in the immediate hanging wall of the fault. The Alhambra II Vein was first recognized and described in drill hole SNS-705, which returned ore grade intercepts from both veins.

The Alhambra II intercept is located approximately 200 feet (61 metres) west and 190 feet (58 metres) below a previously reported ore grade intercept on the Alhambra Vein in SNS-205a. (Refer to SNS press release dated August 29th, 2007). The Alhambra II intercept in SNS-704a is approximately 1,190 feet (362 metres) above the Hooper Tunnel, the main haulage level.

SNS-704a and one recent drill hole, SNS-706a, have intersected intercepts along the Alhambra Fault, where the Alhambra Vein was found to be essentially absent. Encouraging assay results from the two intercepts come from intensely sheared Wallace formation on the footwall side of the fault in 706a (960.85 - 962.0 ft). High silver and lead values, in this interval, are thought to represent up-dip mineralization of ore mined from under the footwall side of the fault deep in the mine. This condition is thought to be favorable exploration in the footwall, at intermediate elevations, where historically productive strata are believed to abut the fault.

Other recent intercepts include a previously unrecognized vein in drill hole SNS-705 drilled at a depth of 68 feet. Although the vein contained minor silver values, it was not intersected in nearby drill holes.

Highlights from diamond drill hole SNS-704a of the Alhambra II vein include:

- 171.2 oz/t (5,870 g/t) Ag, 6.9% Cu, 0.98% Pb at 0.16 feet (true width)

- 35.0 oz/t (1,200 g/t) Ag, 2.4% Cu, 0.1% Pb at 0.84 feet (true width)

- 31.5 oz/t (1,080 g/t) Ag, 0.8% Cu, 2.1% Pb at 0.16 feet (true width)

All the silver samples are reported fire assay (FA) and atomic absorption (AA). The copper and lead results are reported by ICP (inductively coupled plasma). Assays were performed by Chris Christopherson, Inc. of Smelterville, Idaho and American Analytical.

Services, Inc. of Osburn, Idaho, United States of America. The diamond drilling is NQ and NQ2 size and all assay results are within the parameters of the quality control standards, within SNS Silver's quality control and assurance program.

The Alhambra vein in drill hole SNS-704a from 904.00 to 916.72 feet and the unknown vein in SNS-705 from 67.25 to 68.85 feet are reported by AA of Chris Christopherson Inc., with the exception of the samples from 908.72 to 910.72 and from 914.72 to 916.72 were reported FA. The new Alhambra hanging wall vein in SNS-704a from 870.00 to 890.00 feet and the Alhambra vein in SNS-706a from 949.00 to 968.00 feet are reported FA by American Analytical Services, Inc. Drill results from drill holes SNS-603 and SNS-604 currently have assay results pending and will be released in a timely manner.

Radford of Wallace, ID, who is a Registered Professional Geologist in the State of Idaho and a Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101 of the Canadian Securities Administrators, has visited the Crescent property and reviewed the new geologic and drill data and reviewed and approved this press release. Mr. Radford served for many years as primary mine geologist at the Crescent Mine under its previous owner, Bunker Hill Mining Company.

SNS Silver Corporation (TSX VENTURE:SNS) is an exploration mining company, whose primary asset is the 100% owned Crescent Mine located in Kellogg, Idaho - one of the largest silver districts in North America with over one billion ounces of silver produced. The property consists of 24 patented mining claims over approximately 350 acres, alongside 15 acres of surface rights. The Company currently has a comprehensive and well-funded drill program underway. Their main focus is on upper country surface drilling and underground drilling on the Alhambra and South Veins, as well as restoration of the Hooper Tunnel, drifting and cross-cutting.

Historical resource estimates quoted herein are based on data and reports obtained and prepared by previous operators. The Company has not completed the work necessary to independently verify the classification of the mineral resource estimates and is not treating the mineral resource estimates as National Instrument 43-101 defined resources verified by a qualified person. The historical estimates should not be relied upon. The Crescent Mine will require considerable further evaluation, which the Company's management and consultants are in the process of completing.
