STACK Releases Sports Training Book Series in Collaboration With Triumph Books

Football, Basketball Titles 'For the Athlete, by the Athlete' Kick-off Series, Peyton Manning, Adrian Peterson and Dwight Howard Featured

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - February 4, 2010) - On the brink of Super Bowl XLIV, Peyton Manning may have secured his legacy as the greatest quarterback of his generation. The training programs that have helped him attain this elite status are documented in a recently released book from STACK: "Football Training: The Pros' Guide to becoming Bigger, Faster, Stronger," which quickly climbed among the top ranked football training books on Amazon, shortly after its Holiday 2009 release. Manning is among nine of the NFL's leading players featured.

STACK, the nation's leading producer and distributor of sports performance, training and lifestyle content for athletes from high school to college to "weekend warriors," is already among the top sports properties on the Internet. Additionally, STACK Magazine has a readership of nearly 5 million high school athletes, through its 800,000 copy circulation in more than 10,000 high schools across the country. Now, STACK's partnership with Triumph Books, a Random House imprint, promises to extend the franchise further.

Nick Palazzo, co-founder of STACK, commented, "When I was a high school and college athlete, information on safe and effective training and performance techniques was inconsistent, and it was difficult to identify a trusted central resource.

"Although my playing days are behind me," said Palazzo, who played football for Harvard University, "STACK has answered this need for athletes at a range of age levels. Our new series of training books is an exciting addition to our video, online, and magazine platforms."

STACK's "Football Training" book features training techniques and advice from leading trainers and top athletes, including, in addition to Peyton Manning, Adrian Peterson, Reggie Bush, LaDainian Tomlinson, Dwight Freeney, Brian Urlacher and Darren Sharper. Rich color photographs of the athletes' training sessions and detailed descriptions of sets and repetitions complement such areas as: speed training (Peterson); agility and flexibility (Manning); Core and strength resistance (Bush); and summer conditioning (Urlacher).

STACK's "Basketball Training" title, also released during the 2009 Holiday season, features Dwight Howard on the cover and also includes training tips and interviews with such stars as Steve Nash, Amare Stoudemire, Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durrant, and others.

STACK training books are available online at Amazon.com or at leading retailers, including Barnes & Noble and Borders Books. "Baseball Training" from STACK is scheduled for release in spring 2010.
