SWMS Pleased With Final Results of Labguard™ Clinical Trials for Initial Launch Design

TAMPA, FL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 28, 2005 -- Southwestern Medical Solutions, Inc. (OTC: SWNM) has completed the extensive clinical evaluations of its Labguard™ initial designs and is pleased to announce that its findings were both successful and encouraging. Richard Powell, Vice-President of New Product Development, noted, "These evaluations were an essential part of our completion of this revolutionary device, as the end-user input clearly testifies. We were fortunate to have such a strong team backing this project and, with the clinical testing now completed, management is enthusiastic regarding the forthcoming release date." The Company believes that new findings uncovered during the clinical testing phase greatly reinforce its initial belief: that the Labguard™ system surpasses any available diagnostic tool in the field.

Industry Feedback Enhances Outlook

During the clinical testing, SWNM teamed with several independent laboratories that have provided, and will continue to provide, valuable feedback and analysis of the Labguard™ product. The Labguard™ has proven to be even more accurate and time saving than originally thought. Through the clinical evaluation phase it was discovered that this new approach to diagnostic science in the medical field saves steps throughout the process and allows for a much more sterile and accurate assessment.

Labguard™ Meets Critical Needs of Independent Laboratories

Importantly, technical advances in the Labguard™ system allow it to be custom fitted to meet the needs of even the smallest clinical laboratory without great expense. This will facilitate the provision of critically needed onsite testing and diagnosis in areas of the world where the cost of conventional systems has been a barrier to their use.

Looking Ahead

SWNM is poised to bring this product to market through its many distributor alliances including international markets and OEM license of the product to two of the largest laboratory distributors in the U.S. Once the Labguard™ system is launched, and sales are realized, the Company will then focus its efforts toward the market launch of its proprietary safety needle device, the exciting Protect-A-Pal™, which the Company views as offering a major improvement in safety and ease-of-use over conventional needle safety systems -- at a much lower cost to end users.
