Sage Software Offers Nonprofit Organizations Secure Processing of Credit, Debit, and ACH Donations

AUSTIN, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 28, 2006 -- Sage Software today introduced new payment solutions offerings, which enable Sage MIP Fund Accounting and Sage Fundraising customers to take advantage of secure payment processing. The services are offered through Verus, a Sage Software company and leading provider of merchant services supporting organizations in processing transactions through credit cards, debit cards, and electronic checks.

"Accommodating constituents' preferred payment methods is becoming increasingly important to organizations of all types and sizes," said Dan Germain, vice president and general manager of product management for Nonprofit Solutions at Sage Software. "Recent growth in e-philanthropy and a wider adoption of e-commerce are driving the need for organizations to have a cost-effective and secure payment processing solution. We are happy to be able to provide that for our customers directly from Sage Software."

The Verus payment services provide Sage MIP Fund Accounting and Sage Fundraising customers with a secure, complete donation and payment processing solution. Credit card and ACH (automated clearinghouse) payments may be processed in any number of ways, and Verus' advanced payment gateway provides a secure, reliable, and cost-effective system for authorizing and managing transactions over the Internet.

Nonprofit organizations can now experience the following benefits from processing payments with Sage Software:

Integration of Verus payment services into the full suite of Sage Software Nonprofit Solutions products will be added over the coming months, starting with integration to Sage Fundraising 50, the fundraising management solution for smaller, growing nonprofit organizations, in September 2006.

"Using our payment services will not only provide added security to constituents' sensitive information, but will also enable organizations to increase donations, while keeping more of their bank card revenue where it is needed most -- supporting the organization's mission," added Germain.
