Sage Software Ships Updated Sage MIP Fund Accounting Software

Newly Configured Product Features Increased Flexibility and Technology Options, Default Finance Statements, a Form 990 Worksheet, and Much More

AUSTIN, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 12, 2005 -- Sage Software today announced general availability of Sage MIP Fund Accounting v7.0, the latest version of its award-winning accounting software for nonprofit financial management. The updated product features many feature enhancements and ease-of-use improvements, including new default financial statements, a Form 990 worksheet, Allocations improvements, and significant Payroll enhancements. In addition, Sage MIP Fund Accounting v7.0 consolidates the previous versions for small, medium and large organizations into a single more flexible offering, eliminating upgrade fees and technical barriers for growth between each product.

The Single User Edition and its special pricing are designed to enable nonprofits currently struggling with off-the-shelf commercial accounting software to access the real fund accounting functionality nonprofits need.

New Features

Using the new default financial statements built into the Sage MIP Fund Accounting report writer, customers can customize and produce presentation-ready, FASB-compliant financial reports without any additional configuration steps. Additional report writer enhancements include Standard Base Variance Columns, automatic Variance column generation, the ability to view the affect of unposted transactions on Statement of Revenue and Expenditures prior to posting, and a new Expand/Collapse toolbar.

The new Form 990 worksheet enables users to easily set-up, map, and produce IRS-compliant worksheets, reducing their time and compliance costs. Other enhancements built into Sage MIP Fund Accounting v7.0 include:

--  Allocations improvements, such as Multi-Segment Allocation Capability,
    additional Allocation calculation methods and improved Allocation
--  Significant Payroll updates, including new reports and workflow and
    processing options;
--  Security controls on checks; and
--  ANSI-compliant check formats (Check 21)
