Sagem-Interstar Inc. (Sagem Communications), the global leader in advanced IP fax server solutions (www.sagem-interstar.com), will be unveiling yet another XMediusFAX AXP customer success story at the Cisco Live! 2009 conference (Booth #1345), June 27 to July 2 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, California.

Aventa Credit Union, a chartered financial institution with three branches located in Colorado, selected the Cisco AXP-XMediusFAX FoIP solution based on recommendations from HEIT, a financial industry system integration specialist and Cisco Silver Certified Partner.

With highly confidential mortgage documents, loan applications, pay stubs, title guarantees, and other critically sensitive documents to transmit via fax on a daily basis, Aventa needed an extremely secure and reliable IP-based fax server solution that could leverage the existing Cisco Integrated Services Router (ISR) hardware in each of its three branch offices.

HEIT steered Aventa to replace its fax machine and fax service environment with Sagem-Interstar's XMediusFAX AXP edition FoIP software for optimized faxing across all branch locations. XMediusFAX is the only global IP fax solution fully tested and certified for the Cisco Application eXtension Platform (AXP) 1.1.1.

"Our XMediusFAX FoIP solution is one of the first software applications in the world to be certified for the Cisco AXP 1.1.1 and Cisco Unified Communications Manager 7.0. It offers advanced disaster recovery and branch survivability capabilities, making it the most secure, reliable, and economical way to fax from anywhere, anytime, and any device," said Jean Champagne, General Manager of Sagem-Interstar.

The Cisco AXP-XMediusFAX solution can be cost-efficiently tailored to address a wide range of system availability and business continuity objectives. This safeguards organizations against the potential high costs and negative impact of fax downtime at corporate headquarters or the branch level.

Quotes:

Kirk Henderson, Chief Technology Officer, Aventa Credit Union

"By successfully deploying the Cisco AXP- XMediusFAX FoIP solution, we are experiencing improved productivity. With minimal training required, our employees have easily adopted XMediusFAX and love the fact that they no longer need to leave their workstations to send and receive faxes since this function is now integrated into our e-mail system and is managed electronically. By adding the fax component into our converged voice and data infrastructure, we have cost effectively leveraged our existing Cisco based IP network and avoided adding any additional servers. We are more effectively utilizing our Cisco 2800 series routers at all our branches, consuming less power, reducing paper usage, and promoting a greener work environment."
