Sally Campbell to Manage Vision Critical UK

Entrepreneur and Global Research Exec Hired to Oversee Vision Critical's Growing UK Business

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - April 26, 2010) - The UK headquarters of strategic interactive research and technology company Vision Critical is pleased to welcome Sally Campbell as its new Managing Director. Campbell has a long and distinguished research resume and has worked with some of the world's most innovative brands. Most recently, Campbell served as the Global Account Director for Unilever at Research International UK and spearheaded the firm's business development agenda.

"Sally Campbell brings expert-level global research knowledge to the UK team," says Vision Critical CEO Angus Reid. "Her unmatched creative energy and dynamic communication style is ideally suited to our fast-moving business."

Born in New Zealand, Campbell completed a Bachelor of Management Studies at the University of Waikato. She worked as a brand manager in the local food and forest industries before accepting her first pure research role at Hong Kong's Market Behaviour.

In 1991, she established the Australian head office for CM Research, New Zealand's largest full-service custom research agency, which is now part of TNS Global Market Research. She served as the founding managing director until moving to New York in 2000 to become Senior Vice President, Advertising and Brand Practice for NFO North America (now also part of TNS). At NFO, Campbell developed and implemented an inventive ad pre-testing system for Coca-Cola and partnered with Procter & Gamble to establish new ways of tracking personal care brands.

With well-honed expertise in brand research, Campbell moved to London, where she became Global Director of Marketing Effectiveness Practice for NOP World, which ultimately became part of the GfK Group. She established advertising and brand research as a new specialization for NOP in the UK and North America and secured millions in new revenue streams for both geographic markets.

Just 18 months ago, Sally's entrepreneurial gene led her to identify a UK market gap for vibrant, playful infant clothing. She launched Chatterpants to online consumers and has since expanded the company into retail boutiques specializing in fashionable children's wear.

Campbell joins Vision Critical's London office, which recently relocated to accommodate the company's growing team. Staff numbers in the London location have tripled in the last year and will continue to expand in the coming months. Globally, the company hired 109 employees in 2009, with plans to fill at least 120 new positions in 2010.
