Santa Clara Valley IEEE Education Society Chapter Receives IEEE Education Society's 2009 Chapter Award

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - December 21, 2009) - The IEEE Education Society's Santa Clara Valley Chapter announced today that it is the recipient of the 2009 Chapter Achievement Award. The Award recognizes an IEEE Education Society Chapter that provides exemplary technical activities, membership services, and societal activities to its members. Selection is based on the quality and quantity of activities and programs sponsored by the chapter, demonstration of successful outreach programs, growth in chapter membership, and interaction with other organizations within its section.

Dr. Ali A. Iranmanesh, Chair of the IEEE Education Society for the Santa Clara Valley, received the Award on behalf of the chapter in the ceremony held in conjunction with the IEEE Frontiers in Education Conference in San Antonio, Texas, on Tuesday, Oct. 20th, 2009.
