Sarnia-Lambton "Rebound" Nominated for Voluntary Sector Reporting Award

Award recognizes financial reporting excellence by non-profits

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 18, 2009) - Sarnia-Lambton Rebound" A Program for Youth could once again be among the winners of the second annual Voluntary Sector Reporting Awards (VSRAs), scheduled to be announced at a Toronto luncheon ceremony on November 20. The Sarnia charity won in the total revenues under $1 million category in last year and is nominated in the same category in 2009.

The awards recognize best practices for financial reporting by registered charities that produce annual reports in Ontario. Their annual reports are rated for availability, clarity, user friendliness, accessibility and impact. Organizations competed in three categories based on revenue size, as well as a category for national or international NPOs headquartered in Ontario, with the winner in each category receiving $5,000 and recognition as leaders in the field.

Sarnia-Lambton "Rebound" A Program for Youth is competing in the total revenues of $500,000 up to $1 million category. Sarnia-Lambton Rebound is a volunteer-driven, non-profit community organization that provides prevention and early-intervention social-skills programs for "at-risk" youth. It is committed to supporting young people between the ages of 8 and 17 who are experiencing difficulties within their families, their schools and/or with the law.
