Sasso Records Teams With D-Block to Open Car Wash/Detail Center in Yonkers

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 16, 2006 -- Sasso Records will be opening what promises to be the first of many car wash/detail centers in Yonkers on Saturday, October 21st. Sasso's extensive knowledge of the automobile industry along with his new record label and great relationship with D-Block is sure to make their new car wash/detail center a hit. Since D-Block's roots are in the Yonkers community, Sasso knew that this would be the best place to open their flagship car wash/detail center. "I've developed a relationship with the D-Block family and respect them both as artists and people," Sasso states. "We all thought it was important for them to have a business which gives money back to their own community in Yonkers. Since my expertise has been in the gas/auto/car wash business for so long it was a great opportunity for all of us. I love to see music artists be able to branch out into other areas of business."

Sasso, a Manhattan native, started his life as an entrepreneur at the young age of 14. He began by running a DJ service called DJ's FOR ALL OCCASIONS, which he ran for 4 successful years, garnering DJ jobs across the tri-state area. At 16, Sasso branched out and began selling hand bagged candy to Bodegas in Spanish Harlem under the name of SAMMY SNACKS. By the age of 18, Sasso was able to buy his first gas station (due to the success of his DJ service and SAMMY SNACKS) and became the youngest Mobil dealer in the US. Now 30, Sasso has grown his business to become one of the largest Mobil dealers in America, operating 40 of Mobil's most modern full service, gas, food and car wash facilities.

In 2005, Sasso established Sasso Records, which boasts both an Urban Music and Dance/Electronica division. Music industry veteran Joe Petze, who has a proven track record of success with the release of Jock Jams, heads the label. Sasso's relationships with top entertainers in the music world have helped to assure the success of both his record label division and artists. The mission of Sasso Records is to deliver music that makes the listener/consumer feel good. This vision will incorporate artists and videos whose look are urbane but still retain an urban edge. The label's first single, "Russian Girls," produced by Sasha Dith, is currently out and the video is up on both MySpace and YouTube.

Opening the D-Block Mobil station was a no-brainer for Sasso, he knew it would be a great way for D-Block to have a new business in their community. This new joint venture is just the first of many more successes to come for Sasso. He plans to take the music industry by storm with the same work ethics that have made him so successful thus far.
