Seafood Rocks With Glitnir's White Sox

Glitnir Has Brought Together a Group of Leading Rock Musicians to Kick Off the 2007 Ocean of Opportunities Seafood Conference in Shanghai

SHANGHAI, CHINA--(Marketwire - October 31, 2007) - Musicians from rock bands such as Queen and YES will be playing at the Glitnir annual seafood conference held on November 4th and 5th in Shanghai.

Spike Edney, the musical director and keyboard player from legendary rock band Queen, will be performing alongside drummer Alan White, who has worked with YES, George Harrison and John Lennon. Guitarist Jamie Moses, who has played with Bob Geldof, Paul Young and The Pretenders, will also be performing.

Jonsi, one of Iceland's most popular pop / rock singers, will be leading the Glitnir White Sox, together with bass guitarist Mr. Bernt Bodal, CEO of American Seafoods and founder of Norwegian progressive rock group Høst.

The White Sox will be taking centre stage at Glitnir's opening gala dinner on Sunday, November 4th with guests scheduled to be taken to the undisclosed venue from the Pudong Shangri-La Hotel in Shanghai at 7pm.

The Ocean of Opportunities seafood conference and think-tank will take place on Monday, November 5th in which members of the global seafood industry will meet to discuss financial issues and future investment opportunities. Glitnir will also deliver a special press briefing on its publication of three international seafood reports which focus on Canada, Latin America and China.

The Nordic group Glitnir, which considers Iceland and Norway as its two home markets, focuses on the seafood industry as one of three global niche sectors (green energy and offshore supply vessels are the other two).
