Semphonic Releases Third Edition of Omniture Implementation Toolkit

Completely Updated Guide Includes New Section on Omniture Pricing

NOVATO, CA--(Marketwire - August 19, 2010) -  Semphonic, the world's leading Web analytics consultancy, announced today the release of the 2010/2011 edition of their Omniture Implementation Toolkit (OIT). First released in 2007, the OIT has been used by countless Web analytics managers to strategically plan and execute rich, lasting implementations of Omniture SiteCatalyst. The new edition features a new section on understanding the complex world of Omniture pricing.

"The toolkit has been an essential data point in building and planning our Omniture implementation," said Dan Irwin, Website Manager and Usability Analyst at Freddie Mac. "It's expertly written and easy to follow. Semphonic provides a real-world third-party perspective that Omniture cannot offer."

"The toolkit is a compilation of the decades of combined Omniture SiteCatalyst implementation experience within our company," said Semphonic President Gary Angel. "You'll get everything from strategic planning techniques to tagging standards."

The Toolkit is comprised of eight sections:

  • The Implementation Guide: 80 pages of answers and insights plus a Quality Assurance Checklist based on the dozens of Omniture implementations conducted by Semphonic.
  • Omniture Coding Standards and Best Practices: A concise reference designed to use to ensure complete data capture.
  • The HBX to Omniture SiteCatalyst Guide: The definitive roadmap for migrating to Omniture with detailed implementation instructions.
  • The Guide to Coding Flash, AJAX, and DHTML: An A-Z guide on the path to a solid implementation.
  • Implementation Project Plan Excel Template: A step by step outline for creating a project plan.
  • The Functional Specification Excel Template: A spreadsheet for clearly mapping requirements to variables and reports.
  • Omniture Pricing: The guide to understanding the complexities of Omniture pricing and how it can impact an implementation.
  • Variable and Plug-in Best Practices: A complete guide to Omniture Plug Ins and how to use them for improving data collection.

"This is the comprehensive, end-to-end guide for organizations to get the most out of their Omniture investment," said Leonard LaBuschangne of Reader's Digest.

"No web analytics manager or developer should be without the Toolkit," said Phil Kemelor, Vice President of Strategic Analytics at Semphonic. "SiteCatalyst is incredibly powerful but without the guidance in this package one could spend a lifetime trying to leverage it. The information in the Toolkit should enable even a beginning analyst to strategically use Omniture."
