Senators Announce Teams for Sens Skills Presented by Bell

Sens to Showcase Skills on Feb. 4 at 1 P.M.

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Feb. 1, 2007) - The Ottawa Senators announced today the teams for the upcoming Sens Skills competition, presented by Bell at Scotiabank Place, scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 4 beginning at 1 p.m. The Senators will warm-up beginning at 12:30 p.m.

Team Red - Martin Gerber, Daniel Alfredsson, Mike Comrie, Denis Hamel, Dany Heatley, Chris Kelly, Dean McAmmond, Andrej Meszaros, Chris Neil, Chris Phillips, Tom Preissing; Coach: John Paddock; Assistant coach: Randy Lee

Team White - Ray Emery, Joe Corvo, Patrick Eaves, Mike Fisher, Brian McGrattan, Wade Redden, Peter Schaefer, Christoph Schubert, Jason Spezza, Antoine Vermette, Anton Volchenkov; Coach: Greg Carvel; Assistant coach: Tim Pattyson

The Senators will compete head-to-head in six skill testing events including:

- Team 1200 Puck Control Relay - observe players illustrating versatility in stick-handling

- Esso On the Run Fastest Skater - see players showcasing their speed on skates

- Holiday Inn Select Hardest Shot - hear the power of an NHL slapshot

- Danone Accuracy Shooting - find out which player shoots with precision

- Juniper Networks PowerPlay Challenge - watch as players execute the 3-on-1 to perfection

- Scotiabank Breakaway Relay - observe which players demonstrate winning teamwork

On behalf of Bell, the NHL and the NHL Players' Association Goals and Dreams Fund, the Ottawa Senators will donate all of the net proceeds from Sens Skills to Easter Seals and Roger's House through the Ottawa Senators Foundation and the NHLPA's Goals and Dreams Fund.

Fans will be welcomed to Scotiabank Place with free parking and a festive atmosphere including magicians, stilt-walkers, balloonists and face painters among other entertainers roaming the building. Fans can also purchase "Mystery Prize Balloons" at Gate #1 to win Senators memorabilia, including a night in Roger's suite during the 2007-08 season.

Prior to Sens Skills kicking off, the Senators along with Bell will host the 1st Annual Sens Skills Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Scotiabank Place's coliseum rooms. This ticketed event is currently sold out with all proceeds directed to the charities referenced above.

Tickets for the Sens Skills competition are $7.50 in advance and $10 at the door. Ticket prices include taxes, but exclude applicable convenience charges.
