Service Canada Centre in Camrose Improves Its Services to Canadians

CAMROSE, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Sept. 22, 2009) - Mr. Kevin Sorenson, Member of Parliament for Crowfoot, on behalf of the Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development, today celebrated the completed renovation of the Service Canada Centre in Camrose.

"This newly renovated facility offers more space and allows a more interactive, welcoming and accessible environment for Service Canada clients," said Mr. Sorenson.

Service Canada continues to deliver on its goal to provide Canadians with one-stop, personalized service they can access however they choose-by Internet, by telephone or in person through Service Canada Centres like this one in Camrose.

This Service Canada Centre offers residents of Camrose and surrounding areas access to the full range of government services and benefits such as Job Bank, Social Insurance Number application, Old Age Security and Employment Insurance which are more important than ever given the current economic downturn.

The Camrose Service Canada Centre also offers a Service Canada Centre for Youth (SCCY) during the summer months.

"Ensuring that Canadians have access to the support they need is a key part of our Government's Economic Action Plan to help Canadians get through the global economic recession," said Mr. Sorenson.
