Seven Home Games Remain on Senators Schedule

Fewer than 2,500 tickets available for tomorrow's game against the N.Y. Rangers

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 1, 2010) - With 41 days remaining for the Ottawa Senators to play their final 19 games of the 2009-10 regular season, Sens fans have only seven more opportunities to watch the team play live at Scotiabank Place. Fans are encouraged to Wear Red at each remaining home game in support of the Push for the Playoffs for the Senators, who have won 14 of their last 16 games and currently sit in top spot in the Northeast Division.

Fewer than 2,500 tickets remain as the Senators return to action following the two-week Olympic break with a matchup against the New York Rangers tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. at Scotiabank Place. Ottawa's 2-0 win over the Rangers on Jan. 14 sparked a franchise-high 11-game winning streak. The Rangers trail Montreal by one point for the final Eastern Conference playoff position and are led by Marian Gaborik, who ranks tied for fourth in the NHL with 35 goals.

Tuesday's game against New York is sponsored by Metro, providing fans with the opportunity to score four tickets, four hotdogs and four drinks starting at only $99.

The Senators resume their Battle of Ontario rivalry with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday, March 6 and Tuesday, March 16. Fewer than 1,250 tickets remain for each of the two games against Toronto. Saturday, March 6, is also the final Sens Gameday Experience presented by Esso of the season. Fans will have the opportunity to watch the Senators morning skate in advance of the team's game that evening against the Maple Leafs. Parking and general admission seating is free to the public with the donation of a non-perishable food item for the Ottawa Food Bank. Scotiabank Place doors open at 10 a.m., while the first 500 children in attendance will receive a Senators poster and gift pack courtesy of Esso.

The Senators conclude the home portion of their March schedule with games against the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday, March 23, at 7:30 p.m. and on Saturday, March 27, against the Florida Panthers. The Metro Family 4 Pack is available for the Panthers game.

The season's final month also features two home games. The Carolina Hurricanes visit Scotiabank Place on Thursday, April 1, at 7:30 p.m. for Fan Appreciation Night. On Saturday, April 10, the Buffalo Sabres will be in Ottawa. The game against the Sabres will feature a celebratory tribute to long-time Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson in recognition of his 1,000th NHL game. Alfredsson is currently scheduled to play in the milestone contest on April 3 in Uniondale, N.Y., and would become only the 44th player in NHL history to play 1,000 games for one franchise. Each fan in attendance of the April 10 contest will receive a free commemorative T-shirt in recognition of the historic event.
