Shalov Stone Bonner & Rocco LLP Announces Class Action Against Former Executives of VeraSun Energy Corp.

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - November 19, 2009) - Shalov Stone Bonner & Rocco LLP announces that a class action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of purchasers of the common stock of VeraSun Energy Corp. ("VeraSun" or the "Company") (PINKSHEETS: VSUNQ) between March 12, 2008 and September 16, 2008, inclusive (the "Class Period"). The lawsuit is pending in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York against certain of VeraSun's former executive officers. Because VeraSun filed for bankruptcy protection on October 31, 2008, the Company was not named as a defendant in this action.

According to the complaint, during the Class Period defendants made false and misleading statements and/or concealed material adverse facts concerning VeraSun's financial condition, business and prospects. Specifically, defendants failed to disclose, among other things, its participation in speculative commodities trading and other risky derivative transactions. As a result, the investing public was deceived regarding VeraSun's business, operations and management, as well as the intrinsic value of VeraSun's common stock.

On September 16, 2008, the Company announced that it began a public offering of 20 million shares of its common stock to raise money for "general corporate purposes." On this news, the price of the Company's common stock plummeted 70% on extremely heavy trading volume.
