MEMPHIS, TN--(Marketwire - January 23, 2008) - Shamrock Plank Flooring has recently completed construction of its second flooring mill. The 40,000-square-foot facility will add 50 new employees per shift and is designed to increase the company's production volume by up to 50%. The new mill is designed to specialize in running strip Red and White Oak in order to compliment Shamrock's full range of plank products. Shamrock Plank Flooring also operates a 60,000-square-foot plant, which began producing plank hardwood flooring three years ago.

Shamrock produces high-quality plank flooring products using North American hardwoods, like Walnut, Hickory, Red Oak, and White Oak. The planks, available in widths from 2 1/4" to 8", are used in upscale homes. Shamrock provides a specialized Rift and Quartered cut in Red Oak, White Oak and Walnut. Skilled lumber graders pull this cut from both Premium and 1 Common grades for Red and White Oak. Walnut Rift and Quartered is only pulled from Premium grade lumber.
