Siemens Secures Turbine Deal for Riffgat Offshore Windfarm, an Industrial Info News Alert

GALWAY, IRELAND--(Marketwire - April 11, 2010) -  Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland) -- With Germany slowly beginning to enter the offshore windfarm market, Siemens Energy (Erlangen, Germany) has won a contract to supply wind turbines for the Riffgat windfarm in the North Sea. Owned by German energy and gas provider EWE AG (Oldenburg, Germany) and Enova GmbH & Company KG, part of Norwegian company Enova (Trondheim, Norway), the contract will see Siemens provide 30 of its 3.6-megawatt turbines for the project.
