Silver Quest Resources Ltd.: White Gold Area, Yukon-Exploration Programs Completed

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 15, 2009) - Silver Quest Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SQI) (the "Company") is pleased to announce the successful completion of this season's exploration programs in the White Gold Area, Yukon. Surface exploration programs were conducted on the Company's Boulevard, Sizzler and Tak properties. Property details and locations are available on the Company's website

The Boulevard property is located approximately 135 kilometres south of Dawson City and 35 kilometres south of Underworld's Golden Saddle discovery. Boulevard was the site of a new gold discovery (see Press Release July 23, 2009) within a 3 kilometre long soil geochemical anomaly investigated by Kiska Metals Corp. and Northgate Minerals Corp. in 2008. Rock samples from previously completed trenching programs on the Boulevard property yielded 7.04 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 6 metres and drill testing under the trench yielded 0.9 g/t gold over 18 metres. The Company's 2009 exploration program included 176 auger samples over three priority soil gold-arsenic-antimony geochemical anomalies, and general property scale prospecting. The results from this program will refine drill targets for a planned 2010 exploration program on the Boulevard property.

The Sizzler property is located approximately 65 kilometres southeast of Underworld's Golden Saddle discovery. Prior sampling on the Sizzler property by Kerr-Addison Mines Ltd. in 1985 and 1986 returned maximum rock and soil assays of 1.06 g/t gold and 0.06 g/t gold respectively. The Company's 2009 exploration program completed 53 soil samples over two areas contiguous to the soil grid that was completed by Kerr-Addison in the late 80's. A more detailed exploration program which will include diamond drill testing is planned for 2010.

The Tak Property is located approximately 40 kilometres southeast of Underworld's Golden Saddle discovery, and approximately 35 kilometres west of the Sizzler property. The claims cover the drainage basin where previous sampling by the vendor returned 0.07 g/t gold from a fine sieved fraction of the sample. The Company's 2009 exploration program completed stream sediment sampling throughout the drainage basin and in the surrounding area for the purposes of prospecting. A total of 66 samples were taken, 27 samples from the main drainage and 39 samples in the surrounding area. A more extensive exploration program followed by drilling is planned for 2010.

All samples have been sent to Eco Tech Laboratory in Kamloops, BC for analyses with results to be reported upon receipt by the Company.
