Skyline Announces Additional Assay Results

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 18, 2007) - Skyline Gold Corporation ("the Company") (TSX VENTURE:SK) is pleased to announce assay results from drill hole L0704 on its Bronson Slope gold-copper-silver-molybdenum deposit in northwestern British Columbia, the sixth drill hole reported to date.

Drill hole L0704 is the last infill hole to be drilled this year in the main zone known as Red Bluff.

The results of the drill hole are as follows:

From To Intercept Au Cu Ag Mo
(metres) (metres) (metres) (g/t) (%) (g/t) (%)
5.5 360.0 354.5 0.415 0.242 2.2 0.008
5.5 217.0 211.5 0.513 0.294 2.3 0.008

The 211.5 metre intercept is the longest higher grade intercept obtained in the 2007 drilling program. This hole is located in the Red Bluff Zone which forms part of the main high grade portion of the deposit. The drill hole was drilled grid south at -60 degrees to define the deeper portions of the Red Bluff Zone.

Three drill holes have been completed in the high wall gold zone. Assay results for these holes will be released together when all are received. The last hole to be drilled in 2007 will be in the eastern extension to the Main Zone.

Once all assay results have been received from this year's drilling a new mineral resource estimate will be prepared.

Mr. Cam DeLong, B.Sc., M.Sc. (Geology), and Mr. Lou Straith, A.Sc.T., managed the drilling program on the Bronson Slope property. Mr. A.A. Burgoyne, M.Sc., P.Eng. is the designated Qualified Person (Q.P.) for the project and has verified the data disclosed. He has determined that the laboratory reports matched the drill sample logs and that the quality control assays fall within reasonable limits. Skyline Gold Corporation's QA/QC procedures incorporate blanks and duplicates inserted at the drill site and standards after sample preparation. Drilling is by wire line core using diamond bits. ACME Analytical Laboratories Ltd. in Vancouver, British Columbia (an ISO9001:2000 Accredited lab) process a one-half split of NQ diameter core from each three-metre section of the drill hole weighing approximately 9 kg. Analyses for gold are with a 50 gram sub sample, fire assay fusion with ICP-ES (Induced Couple Plasma-Emission Spectrographic) finish; copper analyses are with a 1 gram sub sample, aqua regia digestion followed by ICP-ES finish; silver and molybdenum analyses are with a 0.5 gram sub sample, aqua regia digestion followed by ICP-ES finish.
